Vintage wooden carpenter’s toolbox, with folding front panel, heavy duty metal carry handles and single drawer storage inside. I believe there may have been two drawers as there are two rows of runners. Although one drawer may be missing, it means the remaining drawer is height adjustable. 

The exterior is painted black, with age/wear related scuffs and marks. Each corner is protected with metal flanges. There is a metal plaque with the name J H YORK stamped on it. 

In used vintage condition. The front panel joints are splitting and there looks to be damp in this panel. It still functions, but this would benefit from being replaced. Please see photos for more details. 
Some signs of a light woodworm  problem. Minor holes, look to be an old infestation.
