Vintage OOAK pin art. 1970s Wellington Womble.
Amazingly detailed and realistic vintage pin art of Wellington the Womble. He is wearing his blue hat and round rimmed glasses and has large detailed hands. From a distance this really doesn’t look like string art. I’ve never seen one quite like it - It’s so detailed!
The background is a thin stretchy fleece-like material that is wearing thin on the top right corner. It’s also a fluff magnet – the marks on the picture are just where the lighting has been picked up tiny bits of fluff! There are no marks on the black background and it doesn’t look fluffy in the flesh.
There is an area around his ears where the thread has come off some pins. Some thread is a little loose underneath the left hand. Please see photographs. I daren’t try to repair this, but it looks quite simple. Sadly my eyesight isn’t what it used to be.
