Vintage sage green and gold Carltonware tobacco jar.

Large size tobacco jar with rough match striking edges and a removable lid. Having said that it is removable, I can’t for it to get it off! The metal attachment screws in and out well, but the ceramic lid appears to be stuck in the jar. Originally there would have been a gold rim around the top and bottom of the jar. This has virtually worn off around the top. It remains around the bottom of the jar and it’s still nice and bright. There is one small air bubble type hole around the rim of the jar – please see photos.
