Vintage 1960s RILEY’S toffee tin. Turquoise and gold with gladiators.

Large toffee or dinky biscuit tin shape, with removable lid and folding gold carry handle. 

The tin is printed in a limited palette, with a solid turquoise background, antique gold negative spaces. The grey scale illustrations of Roman style gladiators and horses decorate the sides and there are swirls and scrolls on the lid.

The knob on the lid is metal with 6 sides. Nice gentle wear putouts the edges. 

The interior It’s a metallic gold still with plenty of shine the deepest corners of the inside of the tin have just started to pit with a dark colour were the gold has come away. 

The tin is in very good condition some slight marks to the handle, on the inside and some very light scratches around the edge of the tin.
