Vintage oak 7 drawer engineer’s toolbox with top box and pull-off panel.
Beautiful old wooden toolbox. The carcass has been constructed using dovetail joints, and lid is secured with two sturdy side clasps. The top has two drilled holes for a handle, but this is sadly missing. When lifted, a pin is released to open the front panel.
Inside are 7 drawers of different sizes. The original felt lining is still glued to the drawer bases.
I’ve sanded off the old, cracked varnish and waxed the exteriors, but the internals still have a ‘workshop’ scent. The center panel on the front was painted yellow. I’ve left this in it’s original condition for a nice contrast.
