Beautiful restored Victorian solid oak tool cabinet, machinists chest, chest of drawers.

When I bought this it was caked with dark engine oil. I’ve carefully stripped it back to oak colour, using sand paper and elbow grease! I’ve left some areas darker for a nice contrast.

The top drawer is larger than the other four, with a locking mechanism (sorry, no key. But still hunting). To open the lower drawers, first the top drawer needs to be open to release the safety panels on each side.

The lower drawers have small brass recessed handles.

I’ve cleaned the inside os the chest, but not touched any of the shelf strips. Please see photos. All the drawer interiors are in sound condition, some of the bottom trays pop out of the drawer fronts, leaving a small gap. They knock back in, but may benefit gluing/beading to secure is heavy items are to be kept in there.

The back panel is a piece of plywood, that has damage at the top (please see photos).
