Late Victorian oak pipe cabinet. Bevelled glass, lock and key.

Fabulous little cabinet, excellent build quality. In a dark mahogany colour, with oval bevelled thick glass panels to the doors. There is a pretty lock with working key that locks the doors. To open, the key needs to unlock the door and the hinged lid opened before the left door can open. Each door has a simple circle of wood in the outside corners for decoration.

Inside the cabinet are two drawers, shelves and pipe racks. The lid section has a self to the back with holes for hanging pipes, a shelf and lift out tray with two compartments.

The drawers have very decorative metal handles. They don’t match the lock on the front, but I’m not sure if that means they are a later addition.

In excellent condition.
