Vintage Edward Sharp & Son confectionery tin. Blue birds and sunset.

I wasn’t sure what I was looking at when I first saw this tin. On the lid are two pretty blue birds, sort of photoshopped onto a branch and then a blurry sunset background placed behind it. Very unusual!

The central image is framed with a two-tone grey-ish blue and peach graphic, with gold framing around this pattern. The edge lip of the tin is a dark blue. 

The base has an ice blue background with random ‘wave’  patterns in blue, green, gold, peach and pale blue.

The base in gold, and the interior is base metal grey.

There are lots of scuffs and scrapes to the base of this box, some of the gold is coming off the lid. Some scratches to the bird artwork but the lid has come out quite unscathed.
