Beautiful vintage hardwood storage box. The wood has a lovely warm reddish striped patina. 
Constructed with dovetail joints and with a shell circle embellishment on the lid and decorative plinth. There is a lock but the top section of the mechanism is missing so won’t work, even with the correct key.
Inside is a slim lift-out tray and caddy with 2 compartments. When both of these are removed, 3 secret drawers are revealed.
The knobs on the drawers are a little loose and would benefit from being changed to avoid popping off when pulling the drawers out.
Some signs of wear and a small repair to one of the back top corners. Please see photos for more details.
