Vintage oak smokers cabinet. Pipe cabinet with two drawers, key and glazed door.

I was very excited when I found this little pipe cabinet. Constructed from oak with a great patina showing through the dark wood stain. Very simple styling with a glazed door that has an inset panel. A simple design with a circular centre piece and horizontal/vertical beading coming from the centre.

There is a lock on the door with working key. The keyhole is framed with a brass insert! Very cute and dainty!

Inside the cabinet or two small drawers with metal poles. The metal has lost its shine it is a pewter colour. Above the drawers is a shelf space with raised centrepiece to house a tobacco jar. Either side of where the jar would have sat or shelves containing six holes in total to hang pipes.

The back panel looks to be made of two pieces of thin wood. There is a gap between the two panels (looks like an old split). This doesn’t effect the structure or aesthetic of the cabinet. I’m happy to carefully run some string wood glue over this area prior to shipping. Please let me know.

I’d love to strip the dark off this and restore it. I feel there’s something quite beautiful hiding beneath its dark exterior!
